Sylhet Came Alive with Flavours and Festivity at Pitha Mela 2026

Sylhet was filled with the delightful aroma of traditional pitha, laughter, and warmth as the much-anticipated Pitha Mela 2026 was held on Saturday, 31 January 2026, organized by the Sylhet Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SWCCI). The festival was officially inaugurated at 11:00 AM by the Chief Guest, the respected Police Commissioner of Sylhet Metropolitan Police, Mr. Abdul Kuddus Chowdhury, PPM. Adding further charm to the celebration, Mrs. Sidratul Muntaha, President of SMP PUNAK, attended the event as a Special Guest. Their warm presence made the occasion even more vibrant and meaningful. With traditional pithas prepared by women entrepreneurs, colourful stalls, smiling faces, and a festive spirit all around, Pitha Mela 2026 was more than just an event—it was a lively celebration of culture, unity, and women’s empowerment.
