A Step Forward for Women Entrepreneurs: SWCCI Holds Strategic Meeting with the Honorable Minister
On February 28, 2026, a courtesy meeting was held between the leadership and members of the Sylhet Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SWCCI) and the Honorable Minister of Industries, Commerce, Textiles and Jute of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Mr. Khandaker Abdul Moktadir. On the occasion of his assumption of this important national responsibility, the Honorable Minister was warmly welcomed and congratulated with floral greetings by the representatives of SWCCI. However, the meeting went far beyond a formal exchange of courtesies. With a strong focus on the development of women entrepreneurs, capacity building, and the creation of a sustainable business environment, SWCCI presented several important proposals aimed at strengthening opportunities for women-led enterprises. During the meeting, women entrepreneurs had the opportunity to directly engage in discussion with the Honorable Minister, sharing their real-life challenges, emerging potentials, and future business aspirations. The interaction was lively, constructive, and filled with optimism for meaningful collaboration ahead. At the conclusion of the discussion, the Honorable Minister assured his sincere support and a positive role in advancing the development, skills enhancement, and overall progress of women entrepreneurs. SWCCI firmly believes that when supportive government policies align with the determination and resilience of women entrepreneurs, the economy of Sylhet — and Bangladesh as a whole — will continue to grow stronger. With renewed confidence, commitment, and hope, SWCCI remains dedicated to moving forward on this journey of empowerment and economic progress.
