On the occasion of Independence Day, 26 March 2026, Sylhet Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry paid solemn tribute to the martyrs by placing floral wreaths at the Central Shaheed Minar in Sylhet at 12:00 PM today.

The programme was led by the President of the Chamber, Lubana Yesmin Shampa. Among the directors present were Asmaul Hasna Khan, Tahmina Hasan Chowdhury, and Rehana Faruk Shirin.

Members of the Chamber, including Sajnara Begum, Shankari Dhar, Khairunnesa Mithu and many others were also present at the time. Their collective participation created a deeply emotional and dignified atmosphere at the Shaheed Minar premises.

This tribute was not merely a formality; it was a heartfelt expression of gratitude to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence and a firm commitment to pass on the history of their sacrifice to future generations.
