A Night of Culture and Friendship: India’s 77th Republic Day Celebrated in Sylhet
On January 26, 2026 (Monday), a colorful and heart-touching cultural program was organized at Hotel Star Pacific, Sylhet by AHCI Sylhet, marking the 77th Republic Day of India.
The program was graced by the presence of Mr. Aniruddha Das, Assistant High Commissioner of India, as the Chief Guest. In his speech, he highlighted the historic bond between the two countries, mutual respect, and the shared commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations in the future. He also expressed his sincere gratitude to the guests for their warm and enthusiastic participation.
On behalf of the Sylhet Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SWCCI), the Chamber’s Directors, Mrs. Rehana Afrose Khan, Mrs. Asma Ul Hasna Khan, and Mrs. Rehana Faruk Shirin attended the event. They conveyed their heartfelt greetings to the Government of India and expressed their hope for continued strong and friendly relations between the Governments of Bangladesh and India.
The program was further honored by the presence of distinguished guests from various departments of the Government of Bangladesh, along with prominent personalities from different sectors of society, who extended their congratulations and best wishes to AHCI.
